When the clocks go back and the nights draw in, some garages may become quiet. Others are a hive of activity with riders finding their winter riding kit – with the usual, slight apprehension that it may not fit!

Phantom 3 Jacket

With a waterproof 8,000mm Aquashell LTZ membrane, a detachable thermal lining, a storm flap behind the central zipper, D3O protectors and the outer shell a mix of high abrasion-resistant textiles with ripstop, it’s clear to see that Richa knows what riders want at this time of year.

The AA-rated jacket features Richa’s Airtech Control System to provide ventilation in key areas and there are air ventilation zips at the lower sleeves so the jacket can be adapted to the rider’s preference. Colorado 2 Pro Trousers

The Colorado 2 Pro Trousers are crafted with a mix of 3L and 2L laminated Aquashell outer shell technology coupled with Reverse Moisture Transmission (RMT) for added breathability – you can ride knowing you’ll stay dry in a heavy downpour.

Designed with rider comfort and safety in mind there’s a detachable thermal lining, and accordion stretch panels provide enhanced flexibility. Touches including the Contra Glide Technology on the ‘bottom area’ is a welcome addition to prevent slipping on the seat.

D3O® knee protectors come as standard, with pockets available for optional hip armour. Externally, there are air vents on the upper leg, which can be sealed with sturdy YKK zips, two outside pockets and a short connection zip to connect it to a jacket.

Available in a choice S-6XL in a variety of lengths and fits, including Slim, Slim Short, Long, Short, and Regular – there is also a women’s option. The Colorado Pro 2 trousers have an RRP of £289.99.

Nordic GTX gloves

Designed to combat the extreme cold, the Nordic GTX gloves have a dual chamber construction with a single thumb chamber. Also known as ‘lobster claw’ style, it means that fingers can share heat but without losing dexterity.

The Nordic GTX gloves feature a fleece lining, a breathable windproof and waterproof Gore-Tex® membrane and the backs of the fingers are leather-wrapped for warmth. The gloves are fastened with an adjustable hook and loop wrist closure as well as a larger Velcro strap for a secure, comfortable and weatherproof fit.
