New GORE-TEX® jacket added to the Richa range – Arc

Following the success of the launch of the first GORE-TEX® jackets and trousers to join the Richa range, Richa has introduced a fourth jacket to its line-up – the Arc is the second laminated GORE-TEX® jacket from the Belgian brand.

The Arc is an all-season jacket which is 100% waterproof and breathable thanks to the 2L laminated GORE-TEX® outer fabric and detachable thermal ‘Destination’ jacket – which can be worn separately off the bike. Being ‘laminated’ means that the GORE-TEX® membrane layer is bonded to the outer material of the jacket, instead of being a floating layer between the shell and inner lining. Benefits include improved breathability over non-laminate items and better insulation as the cold is prevented from reaching a rider’s body. It also means that the jacket doesn’t become as heavy when raining as it doesn’t absorb the water, instead it simply runs off the outer shell as opposed to being soaked through to the liner.

The jacket features D3O® armour at the elbows, shoulders and back as standard, with pockets for chest protection integrated into the jacket. There are strategically placed 3M reflective areas throughout the jacket for increase rider visibility in low light conditions.

The sporty touring fit of the Arc is emphasised with pre-curved sleeves for a comfortable and slim fit.

Available in three colour options – black, black/fluo and grey – and in sizes S-6XL with an RRP from £639.99. 

While all of the GORE-TEX® jackets connect to any of the GORE-TEX® trousers in the Richa range with a 360° YKK® zip, Richa recommend the Atlantic trousers to pair with the Arc jacket. Constructed of both 2L and 3L laminated GORE-TEX® fabrics, riders can be sure that they will be kept dry. There is D3O® impact protection on the knees and 3M reflective zones. As with the Arc jacket, there is a detachable thermal liner for those colder rides.

The Atlantic trousers are available in sizes S-6XL in a choice of black or grey – and in a choice of long, short and standard leg lengths. They have an RRP from £419.99.
